Account Director

About the Position:
We are currently looking for an energetic, experienced direct mail/direct response fundraising professional, with a background in direct mail, integration, and analytics, to join the account management team and drive campaign strategy and execution for several local and national clients.
As a team member, you should possess a strong confident presence and comfort with managing both clients and collaborating with the internal team members for growth.
You will own the client relationship, managing client expectations and campaigns from start to finish. Moreover, you will work in an integrative way with all team members to grow new client opportunities.

To be successful, you will:
- Create annual and long-term client strategies with measurable results to achieve client goals and drive revenue.
- Develop and execute year-long direct marketing fundraising campaigns within these strategies – integrated across multiple channels including mail, email, and social media.
- Create and deliver compelling, customized presentations and reports for prospects and clients that address their program goals and the agency’s contributions to realizing those goals.
- Oversee project execution for all client programs and ensure that these are delivered on time and within budget parameters.
- Manage junior staff to promote personal growth.
- Secure client contract renewals and grow client portfolio.
- Generate opportunities for new business development.
Requirements/Skills:
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in fundraising, marketing, or direct mail.
- Nonprofit fundraising and/or agency experience is essential, with a strong background in direct mail and knowledge of digital marketing.
- Demonstrated leadership and project management skills.
- Strong analytic skills to interpret campaign performance and metrics over time.
- Problem-solving approach to analyze information and present it in an effective manner.
- Outstanding written and oral communications skills to develop long-standing client relationships.
- Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
- Possess a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment; includes working with a broad range of clients and team members.

About the Position:
The Digital Account Director leads the development and execution of strategic digital fundraising campaigns for FNY’s nonprofit clients. This role is responsible for overseeing omnichannel campaigns especially email, paid media, and web content with a focus on donor acquisition, retention, and growth. Strong integration with direct mail efforts and team collaboration is essential.
This role requires a seasoned strategist who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic agency setting. Candidates should bring deep expertise in digital marketing and account management, with the ability to manage client relationships and guide internal creative and technical teams.
To be successful, you will:
- Develop and implement digital fundraising strategies across email, paid digital media (search, programmatic, paid social, video), websites, and SMS.
- Ensure digital campaigns are integrated with direct mail and broader multichannel fundraising efforts.
- Lead omnichannel strategy presentations and collaborate on annual fundraising roadmaps.
- Serve as the main day-to-day contact for client accounts, with full ownership of deliverables, budgets, and performance metrics.
- Manage all communication, meetings, reporting, and ad hoc requests with professionalism and strategic clarity.
- Proactively identify opportunities for testing, improvement, and donor engagement.
- Direct internal teams (creative, data, tech, media) and freelancers to meet project objectives and timelines.
- Maintain high standards for quality control, brand integrity, and timely delivery across all campaign assets.

Requirements / Skills:
- Minimum 5 years of direct response agency experience, with a strong focus on nonprofit fundraising.
- Demonstrated success leading integrated digital campaigns that include email, paid media, SMS, and website engagement.
- Proven experience managing campaigns in close collaboration with direct mail teams.
- Advanced understanding of donor segmentation, conversion, and retention strategies.
- Excellent client-facing skills and ability to communicate effectively across teams and stakeholders.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize competing deadlines and deliver under pressure.
- Analytical mindset and comfort working with data to inform decisions and optimizations.
- Highly collaborative, adaptable, and detail-oriented.
- Hands-on experience with non-profit specific CRM, email and donation tools and platforms like Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Pardot, MailChimp, Klaviyo, Classy, and Fundraise Up.
- Familiarity with StackAdapt, Meta Business Manager, Google Ads, and Google Analytics (GA4).
- Proficiency in Excel for campaign and response analysis.
- Understanding of Google Tag Manager and Data Studio reporting.
- Basic knowledge of SEO best practices.
While this is a remote job, preference will be given to those in who can come into the New York City (mid-town) office regularly. If outside the area, quarterly travel to NYC is to be expected as well as occasional travel to client sites and industry events.

Job Summary:
The Project Manager oversees the day-to-day planning, coordination, and execution of direct mail retention campaigns for a major nonprofit client. This role serves as the central coordination point for all print production activities across multiple audience segments, ensuring campaigns move efficiently from concept through production and into the mail. The ideal candidate is exceptionally organized, detail-oriented, and skilled at managing complex timelines with multiple stakeholders. They will be responsible for trafficking campaign materials, maintaining organized file structures, coordinating cross-functional workflows, and ensuring all deliverables meet quality standards and deadlines. This role is perfect for someone who excels at process management, thrives in a fast-paced production environment, and can proactively identify and resolve potential bottlenecks before they impact timelines.
Duties/Responsibilities:
•Leads day-to-day project management and scheduling for all retention campaigns across channels, serving as the primary point of coordination for campaign execution.
•Traffics all campaign materials, timelines, and deliverables through monday.com project management system, ensuring all stakeholders have visibility into project status and upcoming deadlines.
•Maintains organized Box folder structure for campaign assets, creative files, proofs, and documentation, ensuring team members can easily locate and access materials.
•Coordinates workflow between internal Faircom team members (creative, account, data, production) and client team members, facilitating smooth handoffs and clear communication at each stage.
•Ensures strict adherence to campaign timelines and production schedules, proactively identifying potential delays and implementing solutions to keep projects on track.
•Tracks and communicates project milestones, deadlines, and deliverables to all relevant stakeholders, providing regular status updates and flagging any risks or issues.
•Facilitates quality control checkpoints throughout campaign development and execution, coordinating review cycles and ensuring all approvals are obtained before materials advance to next stage.
•Manages the preparation and distribution of print production specifications, mail instructions, merge/purge requirements, and data delivery schedules to vendors and data processing partners.
•Coordinates with production team to ensure timely receipt of materials, accurate execution of mail specifications, and on-time delivery to USPS.
•Maintains detailed tracking of all campaign components across multiple audience segments, versions, and test cells to ensure nothing is missed in production.
•Reviews and validates proofs, mechanicals, and final files for accuracy before print production begins, catching errors and inconsistencies that could impact campaign performance.
•Assists in managing campaign budgets by tracking production costs, managing change orders, and ensuring invoices align with approved scopes of work.
•Participates in both client-facing and internal meetings to provide project status updates, discuss upcoming campaigns, and ensure alignment on priorities and timelines.
•Documents production processes, best practices, and lessons learned to continuously improve workflow efficiency and campaign quality.
•Provides support on ad hoc projects and client initiatives as assigned by senior leadership.
Required Skills/Abilities:
•Exceptional organizational and time management skills with acute attention to detail and ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with competing deadlines.
•Strong verbal and written communication skills, with ability to communicate clearly and professionally with both internal teams and external vendors.
•Proven ability to manage complex workflows involving multiple stakeholders, handoffs, and dependencies.

•Experience with digital file management systems such as Box, Dropbox, or Google Drive, with strong organizational approach to folder structures and naming conventions.
•Understanding of direct mail production processes, including print specifications, mail preparation, and postal requirements.
•Familiarity with creative file formats and basic understanding of how design files move through production workflow.
•Ability to read and interpret production schedules, trafficking documents, and vendor specifications.
•Strong problem-solving skills with ability to proactively identify issues and develop solutions.
•Customer service-oriented mindset with ability to build positive working relationships with clients, vendors, and colleagues.
•Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure, especially during high-volume production periods.
•Comfort with data and numbers for tracking budgets, quantities, and production specifications.

Education and Experience:
•Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
•2-4 years of experience in project management, production coordination, or account coordination required.
•Experience with direct mail or print production strongly preferred.
•Experience working with nonprofit clients is a plus.
•Background in advertising, marketing, or fundraising agency environment is beneficial.
