Senior Account Director, Direct Marketing

We are currently looking for an energetic, experienced direct mail/direct response fundraising professional, with a background in direct mail, integration, analytics, and new business development, to help lead the account management team and drive the overall campaign strategy and execution for several local and national clients.

As a senior team member, you should possess strong executive presence and comfort with managing both clients and the internal team members for growth. And, as a leader, you will communicate and collaborate in a way that inspires team members while being accountable for the outcomes of your projects.

About the Position:

We are currently looking for an energetic direct response fundraising professional to join the account management team.

 

In this position, you will be responsible for assisting in executing direct mail and integrated digital marketing and fundraising strategies for our various local and national nonprofit clients. You will assist in the creation and implementation of campaigns to acquire, cultivate, and solicit direct mail donors while working in a fast-paced and creative environment.

 

The position requires a high degree of organization, support for upper-management, self-direction, attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task. To be successful, you will:
  • Provide timely and efficient support to the Account Directors, Vice Presidents, and President.
  • Support the Account Directors with the day-to-day operations.

About the Position:

The Digital Account Director leads the development and execution of strategic digital fundraising campaigns for FNY’s nonprofit clients. This role is responsible for overseeing omnichannel campaigns especially email, paid media, and web content with a focus on donor acquisition, retention, and growth. Strong integration with direct mail efforts and team collaboration is essential.

 

This role requires a seasoned strategist who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic agency setting. Candidates should bring deep expertise in digital marketing and account management, with the ability to manage client relationships and guide internal creative and technical teams.

 

To be successful, you will:
  • Develop and implement digital fundraising strategies across email, paid digital media (search, programmatic, paid social, video), websites, and SMS.
  • Ensure digital campaigns are integrated with direct mail and broader multichannel fundraising efforts.
  • Lead omnichannel strategy presentations and collaborate on annual fundraising roadmaps.
  • Serve as the main day-to-day contact for client accounts, with full ownership of deliverables, budgets, and performance metrics.

  • Proficiency in Excel for campaign and response analysis.

  • Basic knowledge of SEO best practices.

 

While this is a remote job, preference will be given to those in who can come into the New York City (mid-town) office regularly. If outside the area, quarterly travel to NYC is to be expected as well as occasional travel to client sites and industry events.

  • Fluency in English required; second language skills are a plus (French preferred).

Other Requirements:
  • This is a hybrid position based in Faircom’s New York office; 2-3 days in the office per week encouraged and at times mandated, pending project, client, and agency calendars. Relocation expenses are not eligible for reimbursement.
  • Mandatory in-person presence for client meetings and events, occasionally with short notice.
  • Some evening work after hours is required, notably for events. In-person presence is a must.
