Our president and founder recently presented a report at the King Baudouin Foundation about critical factors to successful fundraising and development in the US. Year-over-year we are seeing record-breaking fundraising in the US. It’s vital for international nonprofits who are looking to grow their donor base to take steps to enter the US fundraising space.
In fact, the United States is considered one of the premier philanthropic markets in the world with over 50% of the population donating to charitable causes each year. With over 320 million inhabitants, that makes 164 million donors giving an average of $1,200 per household.
More than 200 European organizations from various sectors are already fundraising in the US. In fact, more than 100 foundations in the US support education programs on an international level with 10% of giving going to Arts and Culture and 14% going to groups outside the US.It’s no surprise to see this number of giving.
The combined wealth of billionaires from the United States is $2.4 trillion – more than triple second place China, with a combined billionaire net worth of $593 billion. The wealthiest country in Europe is Germany at $469.1 billion, third place globally.
Faircom New York works with international nonprofits of various size, shape, mission and cause to enter this market and succeed in every nonprofit sector.
